1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Stock # 0L507143… Previously Enjoyed The Year 1970 saw the introduction of the second generation Chevrolet Camaro. Debuting in February of 1970, it is often “affectionately” referred to as the 70 ½ model. Compared to the first generation Camaro, the second generation car is wider, lower and longer than the previous model it replaced. The BIG news 1970 was the engine change for the High Performance “Z28” Model. In 1970, the SCCA Trans Am governing body, increased the cubic inch displacement maximum for the Trans Am series. Previously limited to 302 cid, in 1970 competitors were allowed to push the envelope to 350 cid. Additional equipment, such as solid lifters, high revving camshafts, 12bolt posi-traction rear ends and newly tuned suspensions, made this car an instant success. Our car, is 1 of only 8,730 Z28 Camaros produced in 1970. This car was produced with the 350 cid engine, with an 11 to 1 compression ratio produced 360 hp @ 6000rpms and a huge 400 ft. /lbs. of torque @ 4000rpms. Coupled with a 4 speed manual transmission, power steering and disc/drum brakes as well as the “Z22”Rally Sport option, and imported from Pennsylvania, this car is now available for sale! This vehicle will be offered at the Classic Car Auction Saturday October 29th 2016 in Toronto, Ontario.
